Are you passionate about software and can’t get enough of programming? Do you want to work in an innovative environment with experienced software developers, focusing on delivering targeted solutions to our customers? Are you ready to gain hands-on experience in an international green-tech company?

Here is what your role entails
As an Intern in High Level Software Development, you will be covering the entire development palette starting from analysis and design, implementation and testing, all the way to release. It will be possible to try your hand at both frontend, backend, service interfaces, and communication protocols, as well as the database level. Automatic testing is a natural part of all tasks, and since you, as a developer, work closely with your colleagues, sparring and code review are an integral part of the process.

In the position, you will work with a wide range of technologies, languages, and tools, including:

  • The .NET platform, C#, React, TypeScript and SQL Server
  • Azure event hub, Kafka, Docker containers and Kubernetes
  • The GitLab tool chain managing continuous integration and deployment

Meet your future team
You will become part of a large software department with 40 professional and experienced developers who work together in Scrum teams, which you will become an integrated part of. In the team we work closely together in all phases, and you can expect professional sparring and support throughout your internship.

Did you know? We are a highly international department with colleagues in both Ukraine and Spain, and multiple nationalities represented on-site here in Stilling. Among these are our current interns as well as three previous interns now working as student programmers, and the journey doesn’t necessarily end there as we also have three full time developers who started their career in Kamstrup as interns.

Less about us, more about you
We are looking for a motivated student who is ready to drive change and contribute to the software development at Kamstrup. Most importantly you have a great interest in high-level software and keep up with developments in the field. Experience with software development is an advantage - it can be, for example, in the form of study projects, work, or the like.

In order to succeed we imagine that you:

  • Are in the process of completing your education in Software Technology (ICT), Software Engineering, or related fields of study
  • Are quality-conscious and structured in your work allowing you to manage various tasks and meet deadlines
  • Appreciate collaboration and professional sparring with your colleagues

As we are an international organisation it is important that you are fluent in English. Danish is not a requirement.

We want to support a diverse and inclusive workplace, so while you may not meet all the qualifications listed above, you could still be a good candidate for the position. If you find the role intriguing, do not hesitate to apply.

We offer more than just an internship
At Kamstrup, your contribution as an intern is highly valued, and we cherish the good colleagueship. Therefore, you will experience an internship with a strong focus on your individual development through challenging tasks, career sparring, voluntary courses, as well as social events and a large network. We are proud that our internship program has resulted in Studenterhus Aarhus granting us with the Mentor Award, the Internationalization Award, the Jury’s Special Award and the award for East Jutland’s Best Internship.

Besides the best program, we also offer:

  • The internship is paid if your place of study allows it
  • Multiple internship events and weekly internship lunches
  • Employee benefits including a healthy canteen, fitness facilities, in-house dental clinic, hairdresser, and a free health clinic
  • An active employee association, that fosters a collaborative and supportive workplace community

Do you want to be a part of Kamstrup?
The applications are reviewed on a continuous basis, but you can expect a response within six weeks. Any details about the internship will be individually agreed upon. However, the internship is expected to run from the beginning of February 2025 until the end of June 2025.

Kamstrup is located in Stilling south of Aarhus, and bus number 200 takes you right to the door.
