We invite you to join our section “Energy Technology and Computer Science”, where you will have about 20 colleagues with a mix of research and industrial experience. Our research is focused on implementation of technologies with key applications within software development, AI and optimization, electrical grids, energy systems, and secured digital and communication systems.

Responsibilities and qualifications 
Your contribution will be within software development with an emphasis on research and teaching in one or more of the following areas:

  • DevOps
  • Frontend and backend development and distributed systems
  • Linux server management

In this position you will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills within the above areas, as well as other relevant areas. You will also be contributing to the section’s research agenda with your research experiences and perspectives.

Your overall focus will be to strengthen the department’s research and teaching within software development to fulfil the increasing demand for academic as well as industrial knowledge within this field and competences across multiple engineering programs. To do so, you will:

  • Develop the research field by identifying knowledge gaps of scientific, academic, and industrial relevance
  • Contribute to and take leadership at different stages of project development
  • Conduct and in time lead research projects with high visibility in the international networks of relevance though publications and collaborations
  • Teach and supervise in multiple BEng - and part time diploma-programmes within the above mentioned fields
  • If associate professor, supervise PhD students; if assistant professor, co-supervise PhD students

You must be responsible for the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.

As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). If you are applying for the associate professor position you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.
