Team Leader Mechanical Design – PVD Systems
Dedicated Team Leader for Mechanical design engineering team with excellent technical knowhow and people skills
Polyteknik AS is expanding, and we are therefore searching for an excellent leader for our competent mechanical design engineering team. The mechanical design engineer team designs highly advanced production machines to the semicon/mems/sensor/ICT industries primarily to customers in Europe.
Tasks
Our dedicated team of mechanical design engineers develops concepts, designs and production BOM for the advanced production machines that Polyteknik produce and install at customers’ sites mainly in Europe. The team currently consists of 7 people in total. As the number of employees at Polyteknik is expected to double over a period of a few years, the mechanical design engineering team is expected to grow as well, and one of your tasks as team leader will be to support the development and expansion of the team.
You will be responsible for the management of the team where you and your team in close collaboration with the nanoengineers, physicist, and skilled technicians combine efforts to design and construct advanced PVD systems. The job involves coordination of a wide range of mechanical design engineering tasks from idea generation to overviewing the design of complete systems involving structural, electrical, vacuum, and pneumatic components as well as ensuring the documentation and user manuals for the systems.
Other tasks
- Further development and implementation of the different Polyteknik design standards
- Resource and task planning for the team
- Ensure knowledge sharing and coordination with the other teams at Polyteknik
- Ensure that best practice is shared and efficient work methods are adapted across the team
Your profile
- Degree in Mechanical design engineering or similar relevant education
- Preferably with a vast practical technical knowhow
- Proven management skills and a dialogue inviting people person
- Interest in design and vast experience with 3D construction in Solid Works
- Analytical and structured work approach and accustomed to working with deadlines
- Good at cooperating across tasks and teams, internally and externally, to achieve common goals
- Ready to obtain new knowledge about high vacuum technology, high temperature materials, and plasma processes
- Experienced communicator in Danish and English as not all of the team members speak Danish and most of our systems are exported and many suppliers are international
