Driven by the passion to improve quality of people’s lives, WS Audiology continues to grow as market leader in the hearing aid industry. With our commitment to increase penetration in an underserved hearing care market, we want to accelerate our business transformation in order to reach more people, more effectively.

The eSW Infrastructure team is on a mission to bring scalable and maintainable IT infrastructure to the Embedded Software development team in WS Audiology. We are pioneers with great ambition, bad humor and a knack for technical challenges. For our mission to modernize the IT infrastructure of the department, we need a Student Assistant that is eager to help us implement our ambitious projects – and learn a ton in the process. Your work will consist of the same tasks as the rest of the team. We don’t believe in “student-only grunt work” and as such you will be side by side with your teammates, and build meaningful, high-quality projects in an environment where your opinion matters.

Our tech stack consists of Proxmox, Ansible, Azure Cloud, Docker, Grafana, Python, git and a range of other tools in a mixed on-prem/cloud setup. You're not expected to know everything about the tooling, but we expect that you are eager to learn.

You can expect a workload of around 12-15 hours per week with flexibility around exams and vacations.

About you:

  • You probably used to or still build your own computers and have opinions about what the right cooling paste is.
  • People call you "The IT Wizard" and you have accepted your fate as one.
  • You have a great desire to learn more about as many cool technologies as possible. Especially hands-on.
  • You feel comfortable in one or more programming or scripting languages.
  • You take pride in your work and strive to deliver with high quality.
  • You are likely studying a B.Sc. or M.Sc. and your passion for technology and problem solving is insatiable.

Nice-to-have benefits:

  • Is comfortable with Python and have written at least a couple of coding projects before.
  • Familiar with virtual machines, how to manage one and what can be configured.
  • Feels at home in a terminal.
  • Knows Git well enough for GitHub project contribution.
  • Knows the basics of "pipelines", e.g. GitHub Actions or GitLab pipelines.
  • Already have experience with software development and DevOps practices.
  • Is not afraid to share their opinions, but equally eager to listen to others.
