The position
As our new Student developer,  you will join our team for various capacity simulation Projects with expected working 12-15 hours per week. The team is currently made up of four developers and three students including you, working in various software, led by a project manager and a tech lead.

You will be developing and performing data analyses with capacity simulations, using primarily flow-sheet modeling software developed by external vendors. It is a relatively new team in BRD; you will therefore have the opportunity to join the team on the ground level and help shape the team’s project portfolio.

 

Qualifications
You are currently enrolled or about to begin a master’s degree in the field of Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management, Mathematical Modelling, Optimization, Supply chain and/or Data analysis.
To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Strong skills in Python and SQL for data manipulation, modelling, and scripting
  • Communication and presentation skills (both verbal & written form)
  • Experience with object-oriented programming in a major programming language
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Preference (nice to have):

  • Experience with flowsheet modelling software (e.g., INOSIM, AVEVA Process Simulation)
  • Experience with Office Script or VBA 
  • Familiarity with biopharmaceutical production processes or/and excited to learn more

As a person, you are a self-starter who able to drive solutions from idea to implementation. It’s a natural way for you to work closely with others while being able to dive into the details, learn new processes, and deliver quality models. In addition, you are well-structured and able to plan your work to keep your deadlines. Last but not least, you have a keen eye for details and can see potential flaws.

BRD Manufacturing Development & Quality Control has its base in Gentofte, Denmark. What other companies call Manufacturing Science & Analytical Technology (MSAT) we call Manufacturing Development. We are app. 460 colleagues who are the end-to-end station for product and process development for all BRD production facilities, driving innovation both when it comes to industry 4.0 technology and expansion of the product portfolio. Our area also includes the Quality Control unit for all BRD’s products.
