We are looking for a PCB Designer / Hardware Developer to join our R&D department in Hvidovre, Copenhagen. You will play an important role in designing and developing new products while ensuring the maintenance and optimization of current ones.

About the job
As PCB Designer / Hardware Developer, you will be responsible for driving and executing your tasks within a larger team in collaboration with Hardware, Firmware, and Mechanical teams. A project manager leads each project. 

You will be working with a wide range of technologies and products, be in contact with suppliers, and will be responsible for closing the PCB design layout and documentation. This role primarily involves PCB design responsibilities (80%) with occasional hardware development tasks (20%). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and project managers, to translate conceptual designs into robust hardware solutions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Review solutions and design with PCB design colleagues and HW developers.
  • Be responsible for all the PCB design phases, choosing the right stack up and vias, and answering the engineering questions from the manufacturers.
  • Shared responsibility for the component's footprint library.
  • Generate PCB documentation. 
  • Responsible for some HW development tasks in collaboration with the HW team.

About you
We hope to meet a candidate interested in working with all stages of product development. You can deal with several tasks simultaneously and enjoy working on long-term projects. You further more have an analytic and structured approach and focus on how to get things to work in a real-life environment.

The following skills are required:

  • 4+ years of experience with PCB layout. 
  • Working in Altium 365 Schematic and designing PCB layouts.  
  • Flex PCB.  
  • Understanding of track impedance (USB, Ethernet, etc.). 
  • Multilayer PCB stack up. 
  • Experience or understanding of analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience or understanding of USB.
  • Experience or understanding of Switch mode power supply.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, as it is our company language. 
  • Understanding Scandinavian languages is a plus.
