Structural- or mechanical engineer with flair for FE modeling
Do you have excellent skills with FE modeling and a good understanding of statics?
Do you have excellent skills with FE modeling and a good understanding of statics? Do you want to work with complex substructures for offshore wind farms worldwide? Whether you are looking for a new job as a consulting engineer, we need you and your skills in our Renewable Energy department at Østerbro or Esbjerg.
Working in our substructure team
We are looking for a skilled, committed engineer, preferably with experience, who specializes in FE modeling for steel projects within offshore wind to join our substructure team as part of our Renewable Energy department. Someone who can contribute both professionally and socially to the pleasant atmosphere.
In our substructure department, we design jackets, monopiles, and modular support frames for substations for offshore wind farm substations weighing thousands of tons, spanning across various regions worldwide with various geotechnical challenges. When calculating complex assemblies or components, we use ANSYS as a supplement to the global structural analyses. Our projects primarily concentrate on the load-bearing structures, but we also support several other clients with smaller tasks, as well as perform global- and local structural analyses for substructures.
You will be part of a dedicated FEM group and participate in all phases of the project from detailed design to follow up during fabrication and installation. Some of the most important tasks right now are that we design all the supporting steel structures for offshore substations.
Joining our team means you'll play a role in shaping the future of green energy solutions.
Your tasks
Your work will involve solving complex construction tasks, including:
- FE modeling of both ultimate and fatigue analyses of larger and smaller constructions
- Creating models with mesh of a high quality and well thought out boundary conditions. Convert analysis results into clear conclusions presented in high-quality documentation that is suitable for 3rd party approval.
- Present results and used methods at meetings with both customers and certification companies.
We work project-oriented, and projects are carried out in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary project team consisting of project managers, engineers, and designers with various specialties, from both ISC and the client. At ISC, you will encounter a high professional level and a strong body of experience, where we believe that peer-to-peer training and continuous sparring provides great value for both new and experienced colleagues.
